Moving to Germany From The United States?  Interested in Learning The German Language? Want to Know More A out Life in Germany?  Here is a List of Excellent Resources:

DUOLINGO:
Learn German (or many other languages) quickly, easily and for free!  Duolingo has been a fantastic tool and has given me the ability to communicate and understand basic German conversations in only a few months.  It's available for free online or in the App Store.

EXPATH BERLIN:
An exceptionally good tool for anyone who has, or will move to Berlin.  They offer language classes, workshops on various topics and coaching to survive the various forms and documents one must wade through to survive live in Berlin and Germany

GET GERMANIZED:
Learn basic German phonics, grammar and language skills.  Additionally, learn about German life, customs, and traditions from an actual German.  Easy to follow, educational, insightful and lots of fun.  I recommend starting from the beginning and following the first few videos in order before viewing individual topics.  It's available for free on YouTube, but feel free to make a donation.

SPIEGEL:
Germany's guilty pleasure news source.  Good source for learning about what many Germans find interesting, important or informative. Articles are easy to follow and range from world politics to entertainment.

A great, informative resource for Americans moving to Germany.  In addition to a very helpful website, they have been very quick to personally answer additional questions that I've had.

  1. I am interested in learning any one of the foreign languages. That time I have read your blog, your information is really helpful for learning German as a second language..Just now I have completed German language Classes in Chennai at FITA. They also offer French Language Classes in Chennai.

  2. I'm glad you've found this helpful. I really haven't posted much about the language, other than learning how to count (numbers). I should get started with this blog again and work more on language now that I'm actually able to communicate in German.
